More later, but Mar and Sarah kept the lead throughout their A Final today to qualify the boat, and themselves, to participate in the London Olympics this summer.

Thanks to Matt Madigan, their coach, for developing this dynamic duo to their full potential. Thanks also to Reilly Dampeer for her coaching assistance at critical times.

And of course, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Margot and Sarah. Believe me, my heart aches for those who have been, or will be, eliminated from selection. These men and women truly dedicate their lives to excellence and there is no easy way to deal with defeat. Been there.

Because they have been there, I know this victory is all the sweeter for Mar and Sarah.
